MAVIN is not a new company. We rebranded recently but we’ve been in business for nearly 50 years.
Our story began decades ago with Levi Coblentz and his son, Robert Coblentz, and an idea that grew into a lasting family tradition. Today, MAVIN is a fully vertical operation – from forest to final product – including timber, pallets and furniture.
Our divisions have evolved over the years, eventually becoming part of the MAVIN brand you see today. While the name may be different, everything that built our reputation remains unchanged: our dedication to quality manufacturing, our commitment to relationships and our deep sense of purpose.
Every member of the MAVIN team is passionate about our craft and the resources we’re privileged to manage. We strive every day to lead by example, set high standards and go beyond them. We’re honored to share our journey with you—a journey built on nearly half a century of hard work, family values and a vision for the future.
Our Purpose
To honor God and enrich the lives we touch through the products we produce and the relationships we inspire.
Our Vision
Committed to handcrafting the highest quality products on earth, and leaving it a better place.
Our Mission
To be an innovative, integrity-driven, forest-to-final manufacturer.
Sustainable,
Zero-Waste Company
MAVIN strives to use every part of the trees we harvest through our MAVIN Timber division.
We transport timber to our proprietary sawmill for the separation process. Tree bark is scraped and used by local landscape manufacturers to create landscape mulch.
The center part of the tree, called the cant, is where nutrients from the soil travel up to nourish the branches and limbs. Since it is often filled with knots, pits and cracks, it is not conducive to use in fine furniture. This part of the tree, often four to six inches square, is great for creating shipping pallets through our MAVIN Pallet division.
The outer section of the tree contains the finest wood. Once dried, that wood is appropriate for heirloom-quality furniture, handcrafted by our MAVIN Furniture division.
Our Core Values
Since the very beginning, MAVIN has had the goal of being responsible and accountable – to our customers, our employees and the resources we are blessed to steward. To us, it’s about being honorable and always trying to do the right thing, no matter what. To help us do just that, we developed a set of core values that serve as guideposts along the way.
Golden Rule
Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
Innovation
Always look for ways to improve the process and make it better.
Flexibility
Always be willing to adapt.
Teamwork
Starting together means finishing together.
Stewardship
Respect and be a good steward of the resources provided.
