It began in 1975 with a simple logging company and an idea from a simple man. Founded with the intention to create a better future for generations to come, Levi Coblentz thought to start a new endeavor in the timber industry. Through knowledge and personal attention, Levi quickly built a trusted track record with landowners. Building on Levi’s relationships, MAVIN has become a trusted name in timber management throughout the region.

MAVIN utilizes a responsible Selective Harvest process, focusing on aging timber, to spark new growth in younger trees and to extract the maximum value for standing timber. Over 75% of our harvested timber is used in production of fine furniture and flooring on the MAVIN campus.

Landowners can rest easy with the MAVIN Reclamation Process. The care and restoration of your property is our top priority. Decades of experience and our respect for these natural resources ensure that your land is in good hands. Once the harvesting is complete, our skilled timber crews will do a complete reclamation of your land, including reseeding and excavating yards and skid trails.

We are Members & Certified Master Loggers of The Ohio Forestry Association and Members of the National Hardwood & Lumber Association.

I've never heard of MAVIN. Who are you?

You probably hear of us, but just didn’t realize it. Along with all other divisions of our company, we changed our name from Winesburg Hardwoods to MAVIN in spring 2022. Rest assured, only our name changed. Our experience and leadership in the timber industry is longstanding.
